The Review of the 2009 China International Apparel Trade Fair (22 – 24 April 2009)
With the support from every participating party, the 6th China International Textile & Apparel Trade Fair has come to a successful conclusion. Although it took place under the background of the global economy crisis, the fair has managed to achieve many historical records.
Our website has had over 800,000 clicks over the last 4 months. With the co-operation of “Preview in Shanghai”, the number of participating exhibitors reached 600 with nearly 800 booths. The number of visitors inclusive of buyers, channel distributors and agents were more than 16,000. Another major breakthrough of this year fair is the three B-Match events which has successfully brought 150 overseas buyers to meet-up with 310 suppliers.
With a good track record and as one of the important event in the industry, the fair has received much attention from many cities local authorities such as Hangzhou, Haining, Chongqing and Jiangsu province which organizes delegation participating in the fair.
The fair also sees many important events and activities being organized. A total of 46 events & activities including B-Match, Seminars, Workshops and Fashion Shows have taken place during the 3 days fair. One of the major highlight was the 4th China Haining Warp Knitting Design Award Ceremony which was held in conjunction with the trade fair. The event is the key industry event of China National Textile & Apparel Council and was jointly launched by the Shanghai Municipal Government. The previous venue of this event was at the People's Grand Hall in Beijing and this is the first time it was held in Shanghai. The National TV Station channel CCTV4 has broadcasted the whole event.
